WARRANTY for CD-R PRODUCTS
One (1) Year Limited Warranty
Yamaha Electronics Corporation, USA, hereafter referred to as Yamaha, warrants your newly purchased Yamaha product against defects in material and workmanship under normal use from the confirmed date of purchase by the original purchaser for a period of one (1) year.
How to request warranty service:
If you need to obtain warranty service, please follow the directions below:
1. It is the consumer’s responsibility to read and follow the safety and operating instructions supplied with this product. Please read the section below, entitled "EXCLUSIONS" before you request warranty work.
2. Contact Yamaha Technical Support by dialing (888) 926-2426, from 8:30am to 5:00pm PST, Saturday 9:00am to 4:00pm PST, or by visiting our website at www.yamaha.com/multimedia.
3. Explain the problem you seem to have encountered and allow a Yamaha Technical Support representative to help with troubleshooting. Be prepared to provide the technician with your product’s serial number and to answer a few questions.
4. If the problem cannot be resolved and warranty service is deemed necessary, you will be provided with an RMA (return merchandise authorization) before shipping the product back to Yamaha.
5. You must follow the directions provided by Yamaha Technical Support and use the RMA number to send in your product for repair.
6. Shipping and/or insurance costs are the consumer’s responsibility. Units shipped for service should be packed securely. Do not ship anything to any location without an RMA number.
7. Upon receiving written notification of defects, as well as the product requiring warranty work, Yamaha will either repair or replace the faulty product, or components thereof, at its discretion.
8. Please note that any warranty stated hereunder is extended only to the original buying customer and is not transferable.

Exclusions:
Yamaha does not assume liability for consequential damages as a result of the product’s use, or liability exceeding the original selling price of the equipment. In addition, there is no assumption of liability as a consequence of any such events under the terms of the warranty in the following:
1. Shipment to or from Yamaha.
2. Improper operation caused by radio frequency interference.
3. Improper environment, temperature extremes, electrical power surges or failure, or other misuses or negligence.
4. Adjustment or repair by personnel not authorized by Yamaha.
5. Improper installation or failure to follow installation instructions.
6. Forces beyond the control of Yamaha, including but not limited to an act of war, insurrection, civil disturbances, natural disasters, labor disputes, or government regulations.
7. This warranty is only applicable to the units sold by retailers authorized by Yamaha to sell these products within the continental United States.

MULTIMEDIA POWERED SPEAKER & HEADPHONE WARRANTY
1 YEAR LABOR & 1 YEAR PARTS WARRANTY
Yamaha Electronics Corporation, USA, (hereafter known as "Yamaha") warranties the product/s listed below, to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year. Should warranty service be required, the warranty period will be extended by the number of days required to restore operation and return the product to you.

Warranty Conditions
If, during the one year that immediately follows the purchase date, a product covered by this warranty is found to have a defect in material or workmanship, Yamaha (or a service facility authorized by Yamaha) will restore the product to its original operating condition without charge for parts or labor. Note: Yamaha reserves the right to utilize reconditioned subassemblies as warranty replacements.
This warranty applies only to those products sold by retailers authorized by Yamaha to sell such products and is enforceable by the original purchaser only.
THIS WARRANTY IS APPLICABLE IN THE FIFTY (50) STATES OF THE USA AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA ONLY. IT IS NOT APPLICABLE IN THE POSSESSIONS OR TERRITORIES OF THE USA OR IN ANY OTHER COUNTRY. THIS IS THE ONLY EXPRESS WARRANTY WHICH YAMAHA MAKES IN CONNECTION WITH THE ABOVE LISTED PRODUCTS. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES APPLICABLE TO THESE PRODUCTS ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY.
Yamaha excludes and shall not be liable in any event for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty may last. Therefore, these limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state. In the event any of the provisions of this warranty are found to be unenforceable, all remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
OWNERS RESPONSIBILITES
1. Read the Owners Manual completely. The information provided in this manual includes: installation, operation, safety precautions, and, where applicable, routine maintenance.
2. Warranty registration is not necessary. However, should warranty service be required, you must be able to provide proof of the purchase date and the identity of the retailer who made the sale. Please save your sales receipt.
3. Make sure that the proof of purchase that you save contains the serial number and that it matches the number on the unit that you have purchased.
4. Notify your retailer of any malfunction promptly upon discovery.
5. Products requiring warranty service must be returned to Yamaha in Buena Park. All shipments must be PREPAID. No COLLECT shipments will be accepted. Products repaired or replaced by Yamaha under the terms of the warranty will be returned to the sender PREPAID.
6. Products returned for service (in or out of warranty) MUST have an Return Authorization (a numbered from used by Yamaha to keep track of your property). Your local dealer can assist you should the need arise. You can also contact Yamaha directly.
NOTE: If your points of concern are not resolved within 30 days, contact Yamaha directly.
EXCLUSIONS
IMPORTANT: The following conditions can cause this warranty to be unenforceable.
1. Products sold by retailers NOT authorized by Yamaha to sell the products listed above.
2. Any products whose trademark, name, identification number or serial number has been altered, defaced, or removed.
3. Product failures that are the result of: neglect, abuse, misuse, modification, or accidental damage.
