The Recording Speed Dilemma
Not
all discs are created equal: quality can vary greatly from brand
to brand, and even from batch to batch. In the past, many users
have contacted us wanting to know the most reliable speed for
recording to a specific kind of media.
The Solution
Yamaha's Optimum Write Speed Control function makes it easy to record
at the highest possible quality for the media you choose. Simply
choose to record at maximum speed and let the recorder automatically
throttle down if it feels a particular disc should be recorded
at a slower speed.
And since Yamaha uses CAV writing techniques,
speed can even be automatically fine-tuned to steps between
the standard available speeds, yielding more flexibility than
offered by any other recorder brand on the market.*

Recording speeds can be set flexibly
to: 40x, 36x, 32x, 24x, 20x or 16.
*recording software may not accurately display
non-standard speeds. |
